Security Guards who hold a Security Guard Firearms license, are required, as part of the 12 month renewal procedure, to undertake a Security Guard Firearms Re-Qualification. All students are required to be found competent at the written assessment prior to participating in the practical component of the weapons re-qualification.
As required by QLD Weapons Licensing the Re-qualification structure is as follows:
- Day 1 - Written assessment & Practical Live shoot

Depending on individuals license requirements the Weapons Categories required for your re-qualification may be all or a combination of the following :
Weapons Category Regulations 1997 :
- Category H (Revolver)
- Category H (Semi-Auto Pistol)
- Category C (Shotgun)
- Category E (Ballistic Vest)
Additional Information :
You will need to bring your Security Guards, current Security Guards Weapons and Driver Licenses, along with a wide belt (or duty belt), peaked cap, long pants & enclosed footwear.
